The Audrain Motorsport Grand Motoring Experiences

Check out the past Members’ Meeting events below!

Monday, April 8th

When you arrive at the Goodwood Hotel, a member of the Audrain Motorsport team will be there to greet you and get you settled in.

Once our guests have checked in and refreshed, our party will board a delightful 1950’s vintage coach for the short drive to The Kennels where we will all meet for the first time for a lively, informal, and entertaining dinner. We will have a chance to enjoy conversations, camaraderie, and meet friends new and old throughout the evening – a fabulous jetlag ice breaker before your first night’s well-earned rest in order to prepare for the week.

Tuesday, April 9th

Tuesday morning, we will be driven from the hotel to the Motor Circuit for an exciting track day experience. Breakfast will be served at our “Goodwood Audrain-base” at the Jackie Stewart Pavilion within the famous race paddock. If you have not transported your own vehicle for the event, classic 1960s GT cars will be available.

Guests will be split up into four groups - the first two groups can go off-road with the Land Rover experience and engage in clay shooting while the other two groups test their driving skills on the track. After lunch, the groups will then switch activities.

This exciting track day immerses us in the lives of all the greatest racing drivers from the past six decades who have graced this historic Goodwood tarmac.

We will adjourn once more to the hotel before, fully refreshed, we will enjoy the Audrain cocktail party and a lavish dinner at Goodwood House in the company of His Grace the Duke of Richmond. After dinner, His Grace will entertain us with a Q & A session on anything to do with Goodwood, be it the house, his family history, his own involvement with rebuilding the Motor Circuit or his path to inspiring the historic motor sport world in general.

Wednesday, April 10th

Audrain Motorsport and its guests will be taking a driving tour to the home of Eagle E Type and the wonderful collection belonging to its founder, Henry Pearman. Henry is world famous for building some of the finest examples of the iconic E Type as well as several variants based on the Jaguar model. Henrys collection includes many Le Mans winners such as the Rothmans Porsche 956-001 and the Daytona-winning Castrol XJR-9 Jaguar, and more recently the Mercedes CLK GTR race car. After lunch nearby, guests will return to Goodwood for a free afternoon. In the evening, a vintage coach will transport us to dinner at Amberly Castle near Goodwood. Amberley is rich in history and still retains many of its original features dating back to 1103.

THURSDAY, APRIL 11TH

After breakfast at The Kennels, Audrain Motorsport’s guests will take a 30-minute drive to the headquarters of world-famous Lanzante Engineering followed by a quick trip to visit The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu where they will have served lunch at Palace House in the company of Lord Montague of Beaulieu.  Guests will also have the option of returning to Goodwood or stopping off at the workshops of Jim Stokes, famous for the preparation and restoration of racing Alfa Romeos and Maserati’s.  Dinner will follow at The Kennels.

Friday, April 12th

After breakfast, everyone will drive to the brand-new Gordon Murray Automotive headquarters for a tour of the new factory where the 2024 T.33 and T.50 sports cars are being built as well as a private tour of Gordan Murray’s own personal car collection. After lunch at The Pennyhill Park Hotel, the group will return to Goodwood for an afternoon of antique shopping in the local villages or spa appointments at the Goodwood Hotel in preparation for the formal VIP reception and dinner at Goodwood House hosted by His Grace the Duke of Richmond along with the drivers and special guests who will be appearing at the Members’ Meeting over the weekend.

Saturday, April 13th &
Sunday, April 14th

As the Presenting Partner of the 81st Goodwood Members’ Meeting, you will be our guest at the circuit for the entire weekend of racing and trackside events. After parking within the circuit, you will have privileged VIP access throughout the two days, enjoying full hospitality within the Jackie Stewart Pavilion right at the heart of the Goodwood Paddock action. All the races can be viewed from the Audrain grandstand balcony which provides unrivaled views of the cars as they round the chicane and accelerate away to the start and finish line in front of the pits. Guests will have the opportunity to access the assembly area during the race weekend, as well as full access to the busy race paddocks. Saturday evening will be spent enjoying the fireworks and sideshows that have made the Members’ Meeting famous – wrap up warm as it may be chilly…but certainly worth the effort! Enjoy!

On Sunday, we are invited to sit alongside track officials as they check the circuit between races, and finally, we will take part in the awards ceremony for the winning drivers. For those departing on Monday, you can enjoy a leisurely dinner Sunday evening at Farmer, Butcher, Chef back at the Goodwood Hotel.

A History of The Goodwood Members’ Meeting

The origins of the Goodwood Members’ Meeting go back to 1948 when the 9th Duke of Richmond opened the circuit and held the first in a series of race meetings for members of the British Automobile Racing Club. There were 71 such meetings, the last one being on 2 July 1966, after which motor racing at Goodwood ceased.

The Members’ Meeting was revived in 2014 in response to demand from Members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club. In 2024 it celebrates its 81st edition. The Members’ Meeting is a weekend of pure racing for the dedicated enthusiast. You will have an opportunity to join with both spectators and drivers to take part in your own sporting activities throughout the weekend, scoring points for one of four “Houses” – Darnley, Torbolton, Aubigny and Methuen – with the winner being awarded the Goodwood House Shield.

You will be given your “House” membership upon arrival at the circuit. Have fun!
