11th Annual Audrain Automobile Museum Daffodil Parade

The Audrain Automobile Museum in partnership with Newport Daffodil Days will host the 11th Annual Audrain Automobile Museum Daffodil Parade, known as “Driving Miss Daffodil”. This is an opportunity to celebrate the 1,200,000 daffodils that have been planted throughout the City of Newport during the Daffodil Days Festival. Decorate your vehicle!

Prizes will be awarded to the “best-dressed” car including a private tour of the Audrain Car Storage Facility. The route is approximately 10 miles and set to take 45 minutes to drive. The parade will conclude at Audrain Cars & Coffee at Sachuest Beach at which point participants are free to disperse & join the Cars & Coffee event.

$50.00 per vehicle. The registration will cover permits, licenses, police escorts and all other associated costs. Remaining funds will be split between the Newport Daffodil Days Organization and the Audrain Automobile Museum.

Participants will receive:

  • Free admission to the Audrain Automobile Museum (guest passes redeemable within 1 year of the parade)

  • A $10 voucher to La Forge Casino Restaurant

Veteran Car Tour 2025

Audrain Motorsport is proud to announce the fourth annual Newport-Bristol-Newport Veteran Car Tour that will once again be gracing the roads of Newport and Bristol, RI. For 2025, we have expanded the event to two full days of Veteran motoring! The Audrain Veteran Weekend is truly a celebration of the early days of motoring, with many brass-era car collectors from New England and across the United States taking part. We are thrilled that the Audrain run is now thought of in a similar way to the world-famous London to Brighton Veteran Car Run that began with The Emancipation Run in 1896, which celebrated the Locomotives on Highways Act which liberalized motor vehicle laws in the United Kingdom.

For 2025, we have organized a parade and display of cars at the historic Fort Adams in Newport on the Saturday followed by a leisurely drive along the beautiful Ocean Avenue in Newport. This will be followed by a celebration dinner in Newport for entrants and guests. On Sunday, the route of the Audrain Veteran Car Tour will be a 50-mile roundtrip, departing from the Audrain Automobile Museum on Bellevue Avenue in Newport and will drive via the beaches of Newport before heading north along the comfortable back roads through Middletown and Portsmouth before crossing the historic Mount Hope Bridge to Bristol where it will turn around. Lunch will be at Blithewold Manor & Arboretum in Bristol before returning onto Aquidneck Island on the final leg back to the Audrain Automobile Museum for a celebratory reception.

This historic car-run promises to be an exciting celebration honoring the great history of the early days of motoring in Newport whilst offering enthusiastic owners a chance to use their antique motorcars in the manner for which they were indeed intended.

The entry fee is $950, for two people per car and includes all driving activities as well as breakfast and lunch on the Sunday. A VIP dinner on Saturday evening is open to entrants by reservation. The event is open to two categories of vehicles: cars built between 1895 and 1907 and cars built from 1907 to 1918.

$950 PER VEHICLE.

The event is open to suitable cars built prior to 1908. Limit 2 people per car. Please contact us for information on additional passengers.

Enjoy an evening at the Audrain Motorsport Clubhouse and get behind the wheel of two APEX GT SimCraft simulators while challenging champion racecar driver Scott Pruett! Scott is also the owner of Pruett Vineyards and will be providing samplings of his wine!

 

Please note: This event is for ages 18+

SimCraft is the creator of a proprietary motion simulation technology, and manufactures simulation equipment integrating this technology, including professional driver in the loop racing simulators. The motion simulator technology, in development since 1998, is designed to recreate the manner in which vehicles move in earth physics, allowing for an extremely hi-fidelity simulation experience.
